The Journey
Advika Gupta is a Grade 11 student, researcher, and climate-tech innovator passionate about helping India's small and medium manufacturers transition to a more sustainable future. Her journey into sustainability began through environmental research and STEM projects, where she discovered the significant gap between SMEs' willingness to adopt green practices and their access to practical, affordable solutions.
With a background in environmental research, STEM, and youth leadership, Advika has published multiple studies and worked on projects ranging from sustainable materials and textile recycling to water purification membranes. She leads her school's Sustainability Action Team, contributes to youth environmental initiatives, and has participated in advanced STEM programs and research apprenticeships at institutions including IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee.
Driven by the belief that India's industrial backbone holds immense untapped potential for meaningful environmental impact, Advika founded Trade My Carbon to bridge the gap between sustainability ambitions and practical implementation. Her platform empowers SME manufacturers to quantify, verify, and monetize their carbon reduction efforts while connecting them with global green buyers, proving that young innovators can drive transformative change in India's climate-tech landscape.
